| Q: |
've lost/damaged a card. Can I order a replacement? |
| A: |
You can order replacement cards from us through the web shop. |
| Q: |
Where can I buy GolfMission? |
| A: |
From our website, Harrod's and select pro shops. |
| Q: |
Are there different ways to play GM? |
| A: |
There are many variations: as a side-betting game, for example, a twoball might decide to abandon the handicap rule and play for a set amount per completed mission and double if you complete all six. Email us any innovative variation you might come up with and we'll create a list of ideas for game play and feature it on our site. (Don't forget to add your name so we can give you credit) |
| Q: |
Can I play with more than one card? |
| A: |
Absolutely. Low handicappers might want to take on the extra challenge and we know a couple of people who use two or even three cards to have a better chance of winning the pot. |
| Q: |
Can two or more people play the same card? |
| A: |
Yes, and that makes it an entirely level competition. Probably works best in a two-ball as it might be difficult to keep track of the missions if only one person in group of four has the single card. |
| Q: |
How green is the product? |
| A: |
The cards are recyclable PVC. In the past PVC might have contained pthalates, dioxins and other nasties, but now it has cleaned up its act and is a relatively clean product. The packaging is totally recyclable paper. The game cards and packaging are manufactured in the UK. The card cases are manufactured from polyurethane backed on to EVA foam. |
| Q: |
Is the game suitable for my kids to play? |
| A: |
Anyone old enough to play golf can play the game. A younger child who may not yet have a handicap could be assigned one or two missions according to ability. This would be a great early introduction to discipline and focus. |
| Q: |
Are there other GolfMission games or products following? |
| A: |
Yes, absolutely. We are finalising the PowerPack, with off- and on-course practice missions, we have an i-app coming out this summer and we have just teamed up with a top coach to create a Junior's GolfMission version for 2011. |
| Q: |
Does GolfMission slow down play? |
| A: |
It shouldn't; in fact, if anything, it should speed it up slightly as you will be focusing more, playing better and getting around in fewer shots. The first couple of times you play it helps if you look through your missions before you start and then simply check if you have a mission coming up as you walk from green to tee. |
| Q: |
What does normal count back rules apply' mean? |
| A: |
In the event of a tie, use the score cards to determine a winner by following usual count back rules back 9, back 6, back 3. |
| Q: |
Can I mark my completed missions on the card? |
| A: |
Yes you can, just use a pencil and simply use an eraser to remove after. |
